Happy New Year, everyone. There is so much to do this year, I hardly know where to start. Just to go back a bit, I renamed Deadly Art after advice from Mark Stay (he of the Bestseller Academy until the end of 2023). It’s now called The Art of Murder. And it’s to be published by Northodox Press ( northodox.co.uk ) in July, 2025. Thank you, Mr. Stay for the advice. And thank you to my son, Tony, for the title. He suggested it when I first started writing the novel. Guess he was right!

Also, I am drafting The House Speaks… again. My beta readers gave me great feedback, and I had a 1-2-1 Zoom meeting with the aforementioned Mark Stay during which we discussed what I should do next with the novel. The upshot is that soon I shall embark on draft 9!

However, I expect my edits for The Art of Murder to arrive in my inbox before the month is out, so I shall have to put The House Speaks on the back burner while I attend to them.

It’s incredibly exciting to have projects on the go. I have another novel, which I hand wrote and then dictated to my computer, which needs sorting out, too. This one is about a woman who discovers a box filled with things she’d lost over her life-time. Their impact on her is far-reaching. For the first time, I’ve written a novel in which the time line is interspersed with flashbacks. I loved writing it and am hoping readers will love it, too.

I will add some more of my shorter stories on here soon. In the meantime, I hope 2024 is kind to you and brings you joy.
